conduct an investigation で『調査をする』ですね。
make an investigation でも do an investigation でもいいのですけど。
conduct を使った方がカッコ良い感じがします。
regarding は前置詞です。
investigation regarding ～で「～についての調査」という意味なりますね。
about も同じように使えますが、regarding のほうがより堅い言い方になります。
今回、「AのBの調査」と言いたいわけなので、前置詞を2個使ってやる必要があります。極端な話、investigation regarding B regarding A としても意味は通じるわけですが、2回連続して同じ語を使うのはちょっとアレなため、investigation regarding A on B とすることで格好がつきます。
